county and as a community. Communication is the first step in the process of public empowerment.
Toward this end, the Rappahannock League for Environmental Protection is sponsoring a series of Public Forums in the county. On May 11 the first meeting will take place at the theatre in Washington at 7 p.m. This forum will include a variety of speakers with information on transportation planning and land use, water issues, citizen empowerment, and other issues of local and regional importance.
Also at this meeting there will be a discussion and clarification of the Kellerco report and what it means to Rappahannock County. Included in this discussion will be definitions of many of the terms and methodologies used by various planners. The objective of this community forum is to help educate and empower county citizens.
