Gladys Smith
Mrs. Gladys Virginia Smith, 86, of Culpeper, died on Sunday, April 23 at the Culpeper Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Smith was bom May 8, 1908 in Woodville to the late Oscar and Annie Hill.
She was preceded in death by her late husband, Charles H. Smith Sr. and one son, Charles H. Smith Jr.
Mrs. Smith is survived by one son, Greg Turner of Culpeper and two daughters, Melvinia Roy of Washington, D.C. and Aliese Veeney of Rapidan.
She is also survived by six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, April 27 at Bethel Baptist Church, Mitchell with the Rev. Gordon Henderson officiating.
Interment followed in the Fairview Cemetery in Culpeper.
Pallbearers were Barry Coleman, James Thompson Sr., Greg Veeney, John Washington, William Washington and George Wormley.
W.C. Thompson Funeral Home in Culpeper was in charge of the arrangements.
