We are writing to express thanks to the members of the community who took the time to attend the (attempted) meeting of the Board of Supervisors on May 1.
This type of community involvement and concern should be applauded as a sign of an active and concerned community. Unfortunately, it seems that many people came away from the meeting more confused than educated on the matter.
Suburban sprawl is heading toward Rappahannock County at an alarming rate. One only needs to look at our borders; on 211 east toward Warrenton a housing development stands literally on our border, on 211 at Boston a 1000-unit housing development has obtained its sewage discharge permit and will probably be built on our border, and the development just over the mountain in Chester Gap is obvious.
We, as a community, seem to have met the challenge of the Kellerco report, but the battles are only beginning. We, as a community, must continue to leam about the tools available to us to plan our future as a
