One thing Mr. Raines hopes will happen is that absenteeism will be reduced. “Missing one day is like missing two days under the old schedule,” he said. “It can really hurt you.” To encourage students to attend regularly they will not be exempt from final exams, regardless of their grades, if they have missed more than three days of school.
