Aileen Reunion Planned
The annual Aileen reunion for former employees and their families will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, July 20 at the Rappahannock Park. Bring a covered dish and a drink. For additional information call Joyce at 987-8091.
Softball Camp Scheduled
Donn Hackney and Rhonda Jenkins have joined forces to bring an exciting and competitive camp to RCHS. Areas of instruction to be taught will include hitting, bunting, team defense, fielding, baserunning, and pitching. The camp is open to girls sixth grade and up from 9-12:30 July 24-26 and 29-30. The cost is $85 and will benefit the RCHS Athletic Department. Scholarships are available. Please call Rhonda Jenkins at 675-3083 for more information.
C-M-R Farm Show Family Picnic
There will be a family picnic at the C-M-R Farm Show on Saturday, July 26 beginning at 5 p.m. at the Culpeper Agricultural Enterprises. The picnic is an “all you can eat chicken BBQ,” and there will be advance tickets for sale at the Extension Office. The cost for tickets is $6 for adults, $3 for youth, and under 6 free. Come by the office and buy your tickets now! This will benefit 4-H youth in Culpeper, Madison, and Rappahannock.
Dwyer Reunion Planned
The sixth annual Dwyer family reunion will be held beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 20 Washington fire hall. All relatives and friends are invited to attend. Those attending should bring a covered dish.
Picnic Planned
A Sunday School picnic for the Flint Hill Church, Sperryville Church and Willis Chapel Church will be July 28 at Harmony Hollow following . the 11 a.m. worship service.
Blood Pressure Screening
There will be a free blood pressure screening, from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 21 at the Washington Fire Department.
Class of '81 Reunion Update
The Reunion Committee of the RCHS class of 1981 has extended the deadline for reservations of their dinner-dance to be held at 7 p.m. on Aug. 10 at the Panorama Restaurant. Tennis Lessons and Croups
Over the years in Rappahannock there has been a growing interest in tennis and to help coordinate instruction opportunities as well as possibly create playing groups and an occasional tournament or round-robin event, Hunt Harris asks for community members to call him at 675-1879 or 987-9061.
