When we are infants, we instinctively clutch the finger of our mother or father, holding tightly, knowing that we must cling to our parents for mere survival. As toddlers and young children, we are taught values and rules by which to live, based on our parents’ wisdom and beliefs. Ki fV As the pre-teen and teen years ensue, we experience a new influence - peer pressure. As we are influenced by our friends, we may feel that our parents’ beliefs are outdated, and may go astray. As a result, we enter into situations which can be difficult to resolve alone. Even though we may not feel we deserve it, our parents are still there. All is not lost. This is unconditional love.
