' * .Blueridge Technologies in Flint Hill announced that they have been acquired by Metters Industries Inc. - Dr. John Jamieson, General Manager of Blueridge technologies, said they are now a wholly-owned subsidiary oT Metters. Metters is a company ten times the size of Blueridge, said Dr. Jamieson, and is based in Tysons Cdmer. Their major customer is the federal government. Almost all of Blueridge’s customers are commercial, so the acquisition of Blueridge helps Metters to expand. “It extends their region to document management,” he said.

•Both Dr. Jamieson and Craig Landrum are now vice presidents of Metters since the merger. Following the merger, Dr. Jamieson’s title changed from CEO to General Manager, and now Mr. Landrum is Chief Technical Officer instead of President. • ; Coupled with its recent acquisition of Mekel Engineering, the industry leader in microfilm and microfiche scanners, and its own systems integration, training, and advanced technology divisions, Metters has positioned itself as one of the major players in the rapidly expanding rhafket for document imaging, electronic workflow, text retrieval, COLD (Computer Output to Laser Disk), and yVprld Wide Web content.
