Chelsea Mae Smoot celebrated her first birthday on August 22. On Saturday she was given a party by her parents Charles and Lynn Smoot at the Rappahannock Park.

Attending the party was Grandpa Charles, Grandma Mae, Grandma Mary, Aunt Grace, Aunt Emmy, Uncle Harry, Uncle Wade, Aunt Rosie, Samantha, Great Grandma, Bailey, Leslie, and Eric, all of Washington.

Also attending were Uncle Johnathan, Aunt Stacey, Peyton, Shelia Estes and Tamera, all of Front Royal.

Also Grandpa Steve, Uncle Davis and Aunt Jodie of Strasburg.

Joey Wink and Joey Jr., Mary and Samantha Grace, Leslie and Kayla Coppens, Tammy and Lee Rickets, Stacey Rickets, Lauren and Theresa Lite.

Mrs. Jean B. Moffett spent last week with Mr. and Mrs. Page Moffett and family in Leesburg.

Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Brown, Amanda and Bobbie Jo and Mr. and Mrs. Edward M. Clark camped for five days at Walnut Hills Campground near Staunton last week. On Monday they visited Presley and Evelyn Pullen in Craigsville. The Clarks and Pullens are old school friends. They attended the old Washington School together on Salem Avenue.

Wednesday night Bobbie Joe Brown was surprised with a belated birthday party by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Brown and sister Amanda. She had four school friends attending they party and some remained overnight.

Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Brown, Amanda and Bobbie Jo spent Thursday until Saturday in Ronk, Pa.

Best wishes to Mrs. Ollie Vann of Castleton who celebrated her 84th birthday on Friday, August 23.

Saturday evening visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Edward M. Clark were Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Frazier and Mrs. Ollie Vann of Castleton.

Happy birthday to Bruce Flinchum of Viewtown who will celebrate his day on Tuesday, August 27.

Mrs. Ann Simmons and Mrs. Ruth Clark were in Warrenton on Monday where Mrs. Simmons had tests at Fauquier Hospital.

Mr. and Mrs. John Schultz spent a recent weekend with the Jakubowicz family in Doylestown, Pa.
