An accident in Woodville last Sunday afternoon sent a 19 year-old to the hospital with facial lacerations.
According to State Trooper C.A. Moore, Jimmy David Norman of Woodville was driving a 1995 Plymouth on Route 620 about 2:30 p.m. when, due to driver inattention, he ran up behind another vehicle, applied his brakes, skidded off the right side of the road and struck a fence. He was wearing a seat belt.
Mr. Norman was taken to Culpeper Hospital. Charges of reckless driving are pending, said Trooper Moore.
. On August 20 about 10:45 p.m., Richard B. Drake, 40, of Flint Hill, was driving a 1994 GMC pickup 6n Route 729,1/2 mile south of U.S. 211, when he ran off the right side of the road, lost control of the vehicle, crossed over both lanes, struck an embankment and overturned. Trooper S. Knick charged Mr. Drake with driving under the influence.
Two chain saws were reported missing from an outbuilding on Thursday at the Jennifer Gallagher residence on Route 618 in Castleton. Major Rick MacWelch said that some fingerprints were lifted from the building and the matter is under investigation.
