When Mr. Hale arrived he was able to answer the board's concerns.

He explained that the roof would be constructed of Galvalum, which is aluminum coated steel. It is color coated and has a longer life than galvanized steel. It is also oven finished.

He told the board that the roof is constructed in such a way that ventilation is provided for through the louvers and ridges of the roof.

The plans will be stamped by engineers at NCI, which supplies the material for the roof.

They have a 20 year available warranty for a standing seam system.

He also said that NCI has literature they will provide about their products and that the new systems have eliminated the expansion-contraction problems with floaters which are part of the new system.

The plans also detail the process for fastening the roof to rigid steel beams which Hale & White place. The roof would also have a lower slope.

The wind and snow calculations will be made by NCI, Mr. Hale said, through Erectors Plus which supplies part of the package. He said he could ask NCI to change the level per square foot for snow loads if that is what is desired.

Mr. Hale said they would push as hard as they can to get the job finished before school opens but that it was also dependent on the board acting in a timely fashion.

The board went into executive session to discuss the issues and when the meeting resumed had decided to declare the emergency situation
