! : The Rappahannock Planning Commission met this week and if ; you weren’t there you should check out the new proposal made by ; Mike Massie, Board of Supervisors representative to the Planning ; Commission, concerning amendments to the Conservation Zoning ; District Land Development Regulations (See story. Page Al). ; ; Obviously he was listening when we encouraged citizens to | make proposals and generate ideas instead of arguments. ; ; His proposal is different from the one still on the table from the ; Planning Commission. The Commission worked long and hard on ; itsr proposal and it has merit. Many county residents were in favor of * it.*But it is more restrictive than the new proposal. • ■! Mr. Massie’s proposal also has merit and is less restrictive. < Numerous land owners in the county have expressed their disagree; ment with the wording of the Planning Commission’s proposal, > They may find the new one more to their liking and one that they I can live with. ! *. Residents should attend the July meeting of the Commission and ! lef it be known which proposal they favor or what other suggestions ! might be offered to finally reach an agreement on this issue.
