This year’s total operating budget of $10,563,519 was compared to last year’s at $9,621,605, a difference of $941,914. The supervisors approved the adoption of the 1998 budget as dated, with appropriations to be made as dated and set the budget for the tax year with the specified increases in real estate and personal property taxes. Supervisor Ron Frazier voted no on all three motions.
