Hitt Descendants Dinner

Descendants of Peter Hitt, 1714 Germanna immigrant, are invited to attend the third annual dinner to be held on July 18 at 7:30 p.m. at the Holiday Inn in Culpeper. A buffet will be provided featuring three entrees, salad bar, vegetables, dessert and drink costing $18.50 per person. To make required reservations mail your check payable to Mary Doyle Johnson in care of Mrs. H.W. McNamara, 1600 S. Joyce St. #833, Arlington, Va. 22202 by July 12.

Volunteers Sought

The Fourth of July Committee is looking for volunteer to help with the day’s festivities in the Town of Washington, especially persons who can help with the parking that day. Anyone interested should contact co-chairperson, Ellen Manson, 675-1349. !

Water Instructors Needed

The Culpeper-Madison Chapter of the American Red Cross is seeking water safety instructors. If you are interested in becoming a swim instructor, contact the office at 825-8611 for details. Lifeguarding and swim classes will begin in late June. Dates and times will be announced soon.

Class Reunion Scheduled

The classes of 1954 and 1957 will have their class reunion July 4 and 5. The classmates will have a picnic on the ground of George Washington Carver-Piedmont Technical Education Center on Friday and a dinner/dance on Saturday at the Holiday Inn. For information call 825-1945.

Crafters Sought

Crafters needed for the Culpeper, Madison and Rappahannock Farm Show, July 26 and 27. Cost for a space is $10 for both days and a donated craft item. Spaces available indoor and outside, limited space indoors, first come, first serve. Please call Denise Webb at 923-5038 for registration forms.

Firemen's Carnival Scheduled ■

The Flint Hill Volunteer Firemen’s Carnival will be held July 23, 24, 25 and 26. The department is currently seeking queen contestants and more information may be obtained from Connie Huff-Hams at 675-3389.
