Meanwhile, the children’s bicycle parade begins at 4:30 p.m. through the streets of the town.

At 6 p.m.. there will be foot races on the hill, followed by more music by Southern Persuasion at 7 p.m. Slim Harrison returns with more square dancing at 7:45 p.m.

At 8:15 p.m., Mr. Carrigan will give his annual 4th of July speech, followed by the Alexandria Royal Fyfes, Drums and Trumpets performance from 8:25 p.m. until the fireworks begin with The Star Spangled Banner.
