Toyota Celica and there were four others in the car with her. She was driving in excess of 70 mph when she rounded the turn near the bridge and lost control of the car. The car hit a tree off the right side of the road.
George Jeffrey Ocilka, 19, of Fairfax was in the front passenger seat.
In the rear seat were Kenderick L. Wade, 20, of Fairfax, a 17-year-old female who was seated in the middle and Brandon Hudsonpillar, 23, of Fairfax, a a former Rappahannock County High School graduate. None of the back seat passengers were wearing seat belts and were ejected from the car when the accident occurred.
Ms. Zboray, Mr. Ocilka and Mr. Hudsonpillar were air-lifted to Fairfax Hospital. Both Ms. Zboray and Mr. Ocilka were in critical condition. Mr. Hudonpillar died as a result of injuries sustained in the accident. ,
The other two passengers were treated for minor injuries at Fairfax Hospital and released.
Ms. Zboray went into a comma as a result of the accident, but recovered from that and has undergone rehabilitation since.
She was later charged with reckless driving and driving without a license.
She was fined $200 for reckless driving and $139 court costs with 90 days suspended.
She was also fined $100 for driving without a license and $2 in court costs. Her driver’s license was suspended for six months.
