Washington resident Eliza May Clark was killed last week when she apparantly failed to see a stop sign on Route 621, partially obscured by foliage, and ran the stop sign causing a collision with a truck east bound on Route 211.
Mrs. Clark was headed home after a house sitting job at about 8:IS a.m. when she pulled out onto Route 211 in the path of a 1973 Ford truck driven by Gary Hitt, 32, of Amissville. Virginia State Trooper Bill Lyle reported on the accident. He said Mrs. Clark’s 1991 Ford Taurus was hit in the driver’s side door. She died in the accident.
