Book Sale Scheduled

The Friends of the Rappahannock County Library will be holding their annual Used Book Sale at the Town Hall in Washington on July 4. There will be lots of children’s books, literature, popular fiction and quality non-fiction. Call the Library at 675-3780 for details!

Bicycle Parade Planned

Children in the area are invited to participate in the annual bicycle parade in the Town of Washington on the Fourth of July. Prizes will be awarded for the “most patriotically decorated.” The parade is open to children from birth to 14 years of age. Children in strollers and in wagons are invited. The lineup starts at 4:15 p.m. behind the jail; the parade starts at 4:30 p.m. For further information, contact Ellen Manson, parade organizer, 675-1349.

Traffic Discussion, Open House

An open house for Flint Hill residents will be held at the Flint Hill Volunteer Fire Department at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, June 30. The topic of discussion will be traffic calming for the town. For more information call Doug McCabe at 675-3143.

Farm Show Scheduled

The Culpeper, Madison and Rappahannock Farm Show is July 25-28 at the Culpeper Agricultural Enterprises on Route 29 south of Culpeper. Farm Show catalogs are at the Rappahannock County Extension Office. Please stop by and pick one up. Entry forms are due to the Rappahannock Extension Office by June 30th!!
