Burke family reunion ;
The fair lies of the late Gabe and Florence Burke will have a reunion at the 4-H Center in Front Royal on June 27 at 12 noon. All family members and friends are welcome. For more information contact Cecil Baldwin at 987-9356.
Former employees plan reunion
All former Aileen employees and their families are invited to a reunion on Saturday, July 18 at 12 noon at the Flint Hill carnival grounds. Those attending are asked to bring a covered dish and a drink. For additional information call Joyce at 987-8091.
Memorial service planned
There will be a memorial service for Elizabeth Trent Thomas “Betsy” on Saturday, June 27 at 3 p.m. (to around 4 p.m.) at the Washington, Va. Town Hall on Gay Street. Betsy died at her home in Castleton, in January 1998.
Softball camp scheduled
A three day softball camp will be held at Rappahannock County High School June 29-July 1 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. This camp is open to girls nine and up who have had at least one year of team experience. Girls will learn techniques to improve their hitting, fielding, base running and pitching skills. Cost is $35. Call Rose Ann Sharp at 675-3887, evenings to register.
Family reunion planned
The Weaver-Thomhill family reunion will be held oni Sunday, June 28 at the Rappahannock Park near Washington. Lunch will be served at 1 p.m. For additional information call 825-1153.
