Well known artist Geneva Welch will be selling prints of “Mosby at Massie’s Comer,” a portion of which will go to benefit Jonathan Bankston, who is ill with cancer. The prints will be available at the Gay. St. Merchantile.
Each hour there will be a different musician performing in front of the courthouse: at 1 p.m., David Clanagan & Free Spirit; at 2 p.m., DorNel Pratt; at 3 p.m., the Eclectics; and at 4 p.m., Hutton.
At 4:30 p.m., The Blues Fuze entertains as the evening’s program moves to William Carrigan’s hill at his home, Avon Hall. There the audience can sit on blankets or chairs and picnic while listening to various .musicians perform before the fireworks display at dark. (At 6 p.m. there will be foot races for children.)
The Blues Fuze entertains again at 7 p.m., followed by Hutton at 8 p.m.
At 8:25 p.m.. the Alexandria Fjrtes, Drums & Trumpets begins its parade through town and its performance on the hill.
