RAAC will show the Academy Award winning movie, “Good Will Hunting” Friday and Saturday, June 26 and 27 at 8 p.m. Set in the rough-and-tumble streets of inner city South Boston, the story tells of Will Hunting (Matt Damon), a troubled prodigy who, due to problems at home, can’t live up to his potential. As he wrestles with how to use his considerable talents and still remain loyal to a working-class friend (Ben Affleck), he sets out on an emotional journey involving two adults, who offer their support. Robin Williams won an Academy Award for his role as a therapist who tries to help the young genius.
Matt Damon and Ben Affleck, real-life buddies, won an Academy Award for their original screenplay and Minnie Driver is great to watch as Matt Damon’s supportive friend and love interest. (Rated: R.
