Baltimore told them he hoped to see them back. “This is where it starts for both boys and girls.”
“It went great,” he said after the camp. “They’ve learned a lot and I’m pleased with their effort. They can ready to work every day and that’s what made it so enjoyable.”
Of the RCHS boys basketball players camp Baltimore said, “Right now things are going fairly well. A lot of guys are out of shape but are getting back into the game. The drills are going great. I had a college basketball teammate of mine, Coach Robert Harris from Shenandoah University, come in to show the players different post moves and post defense. So overall things are looking good. The drills help these players become better players if they continue to work hard after camp is over with.”
“Basketball season should be interesting,” he said. “They need to come ready to work hard.” The RCHS boys players will attend a team camp at VMI June 27 through 30. “By going to the camp at VMI I’ll be able to see more about the teams (how they’re shaping up). Some junior varsity players will move up. It’ll provide a good look at the players I’m going to use next season.”
