It appears after talking with other citizens in our community and agency personnel, Fairfax County and other large resourceful counties tend to “dump” their foster children into many rural areas. These children are not being monitored and furthermore, the placements are less than desirable.
However, the bottom line is not the fact that children are being placed in our communities, but rather, the lack of careful monitoring sometimes results in children being abused and neglected in our own back yards. We do not need children to be “dumped” into our communities and subjected to further abuse and neglect. Where is our sense of decency?
