Parking volunteers needed

A fun and profitable way to raise money for your organization is to come out on July 4 during the Town of Washington’s 4th of July celebration and donate your time parking cars. This is an easy fund raiser for local, nonprofit organizations because proceeds from parking ar? J divided among groups who have helped with the parking of cars. Volunteers are needed to work shifts during the day’s festivities and in the evening before and after the fireworks display. To sign up as a volunteer, contact organizer Ellen Manson, 675-1349.

Hitt dinner scheduled

The fourth annual Hitt Researchers Dinner is planned for Friday, July 17 at the Holiday Inn in Culpeper. Prepaid reservations of $17 per person made payable to Mary Doyle Johnson must be mailed by July 11 to Mrs. H.W. McNamara, 1600 South Joyce Street, #833, Arlington, Va. 22202.

Open house at Oasis

Red, White and Blues open house will be held at the Oasis Winery on Saturday, July 4 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Free admission, event will be held rain or shine. For more information call 1-800-304-7656.

Soccer Camp in July

Soccer Academy will provide a one-week soccer camp for players at all levels, beginning players to future World Cup Stars. The camp will run from July 13-17 at Rappahannock County Elementary School and is open to children ages six to 16. Mini camp for ages six and seven will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., the fee is $110. All Day Camp for ages seven through 16 runs from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., the fee is $135. For more information call 937-5794.

Farmer's Association plans dance .

The Rappahannock Farmer’s Association will sponsor a dance on July 25 from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m. at the Rappahannock ElementAy School. All types of music will be provided by: Wrights Big Band. The event will be casual dress and $10 charge per person. Children are welcome, under 12 years of age admission is free. A free swing lesson is included and refreshments will be served. Bicycle parade slated

Area children are invited to participate in the annual bicycle parade at the Tbwn of Washington’s celebration on the 4th of July. A highlight every year, the parade is open to children from birth to 14 years of age. Children in strollers and in wagons are invited. The lineup starts at 4:15 p.ip. behind the jail; the parade starts at 4:30 p.m. For information, contact Ellen Manson, parade organizer at 675-1349.

The Rappahannock Healing Arts has the following activities scheduled:

June 25: Yoga at 9:30 a.m.; Therapeutic Massage from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 26: Voice Analysis from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.;. Health Options Counseling from 1 to 5 p.m. an4 Nutritional Counseling from 4 to 8 p.m.

June 27 and 28: Yoga and meditation for children 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. June 29: Nutritional Counseling from 1 to 4 p.m. and Yoga at 5 p.m.

June 30: Voice Analysis from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Solution Focused Counseling from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.
