PROPOSED SALE OF REAL PROPERTY
COUNTY OF RAPPAHANNOCK
In accordance with §15.2-1800 and §15.2-1813 of the Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended, on Monday, July 6, 1998, at 7:00 p.m. at the Courthouse in Washington, VA, the Rappahannock County Board of Supervisors shall hold a public hearing on a proposed contract of sale for 8.1355 acres of real property owned by the County of Rappahannock. The proposed sale is to the Virginia Department of Transportation. The purchase price is $11,000.00 per acre or $89,491.00. The contract for sale includes the grant of land by the County of Rappahannock for the purposes of road construction and of an easement for construction and maintenance of a stormwater management facility.
The property is located on Rt. 622, Rock Mills Road, near the intersection with U.S. Rt. 211/522, Lee Highway. Parcel is a portion of that property (of approximately 17 acres) acquired by the County of Rappahannock in 1997 from Anderson.
All interested persons are invited to attend and to make comment, or to review the proposed contract of sale at the County Administration Office from 8:30-4:30, Monday throuqh Friday.
