I have been following with great interest the articles on the future of Rappahannock County, the debate over the direction of future development, of how best to preserve the county’s natural beauty, and so forth. I would like to draw together various threads of thought into a general thesis.
It is that Rappahannock County is unique and wonderful for what it is, its value lying in its land and people. A recent visit, when I could actually get out and walk the land, look at the mountains, talk to residents both long established and recent arrivals, has made me realize how much I cherish my • Rappahannock County heritage.
