Sgt. David Streagle returned to his home near Washington, Va. Tuesday after serving a year’s tour of duty in Danang, Vietnam. He has served in the Marine Corps for 11 years. His wife is the former Elizabeth Latham and they have two children, Shannon and Marc. Rachel Williams was crowned queen of the Chester Gap Fireman’s Carnival Friday evening. She received her crown from last year’s queen Barbara Atkins Heflin. Susan Vaughan received second and Juanita Brown, third.
