Happy birthday to Mrs. Audra Crawford. She celebrated her birthday on the Aug. 19.

Mrs. Crawford’s visitors this week were Curtis and Katherine Crawford of Flint Hill, Jim and Lillian Sykes of Culpeper, and Opie, Nancy, Elizabeth and Charles Crawford of Sperryville.

Mr. and Mrs. Dan Norman were among the many people attending the Roger Rutherford benefit at the Sperryville fire hall Saturday evening. The benefit drew a large crowd of people and everyone seemed to enjoy the good gospel music and singing.

Our sympathy is extended to the John Marshall Clark family on the bereavement of their husband, father, and grandfather.

Sadie Norman spent the weekend visiting with her aunt Ruth Rosenberry in Front Royal.

On Friday evening Michele and Walter Milton Burke were guests of family and friends in Culpeper for a mother and children night-out party. Die Burke spent the evening visiting with his father-in-law.

Sunday the Die Burke family dined in Winchester.
