Flowers have really suffered from the drought, but many zinnias and sunflowers have flourished. Carolyn Emerick’s zinnia won a blue as did Betty Wood’s sunflower. Sally Havstad received a blue for her dahlia.
After the announcement of the ribbons, Celine Siira, our judge, critiqued all the designs and horticulture, making positive suggestions for improvement and praising the quality of work.
