Mae Virginia Wince, 80, of Rixeyville died Tuesday, Aug. 17 at Fauquier Hospital in Warrenton.
She was born March 27, 1919 in Rappahannock County to the late Willie Tharp and Bertha Virginia Frye Tharp.
She was an independent lady who was very devoted to her family. She also had a deep love for animals and country music, especially “Mountain Ballads.”
Mrs. Wince is survived by two daughters, Patricia Creel of Culpeper and Kathleen Gibson and her husband, Leonard of Jeffersonton and two sons, Wilson Wince and his wife Mildred of Rixeyville and Harry Wince and his wife Laura of Culpeper.
Additional survivors include one brother, Willie Tharp of Stanley; a sister, Ethel Glover of Harpers Ferry, W.Va.; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and one
