At 11 p.m. that same day, 29 year-old Karen Stuart of Ruckersville was travelling south on Route 231 when she encountered a car in her lane at Route 681 travelling the wrong way. Ms. Stuart swerved to avoid the vehicle and struck a fence. She was not injured. Damage to her 1989 Ford was estimated at $5000. Virginia State Police has no information on the other vehicle. During the evening of Aug. 20, an individual on a dirt bike and three individuals on fourwheelers were riding on private property in Huntly. The individuals had been forbidden to go onto the property in question. Charges are pending.
