On Aug. 28 at 11 a.m., the Rappahannock League for Environmental Protection (RLEP) will present a plaque to Phil (twin recognizing Caledonia Farm as being protected under a conservation easement. Irwin granted the first such easement in Rappahannock County. The presentation will take place at Caledonia Farm, which is on Fodderstack Road, and everyone is invited. RLEP has purchased enough plaques for everyone who has land under a conservation easement. Joy Sloane, President of RLEP, says that “this is RLEP’s way of saying thank you” to these people for doing something beneficial for the county.
