Mary Revercomb introduced ^ the speaker, Page Mitchell, former Shenandoah District Butterfly Chairman who presented a video from Callaway Gardens and a talk on butterflies. An interesting display of books was provided as well as a leaflet on Butterfly Gardening Tips which included nectar producing plants as a food source, providing damp areas or puddles for drinking and flat rocks for warming and basking.
Chris Beck reported on his stay at Nature Camp which is a 5.9 acre camp deep in the George Washington National Forest where the talk is much more likely to be about bugs, birds, rocks, plants and snakes than about electronic games of rock CD’s.
