Clark remembered
Our community lost a pillar last week in John Marshall Clark. He shall long be remembered by all who knew him.
He was thoughtful, giving and a man dedicated to farming for all his years. He was always there for any of us that needed his help.
He would come over and help with hay making, especially if a storm was coming, a calf to be born, mending fences, bringing a tractor when we were stuck here or there.
He was a generous man, giving of his fruits and vegetables from his garden and apples to all he thought would like them.
He was our morning light in the fields below each morning as he arouse before anyone else and was there for his cows, in his little red truck roaming the fields.
John Marshall never wanted any high positions or accolades, but gained love in the hearts of all who came in contact with him.
He had some great stories and would share with us, his many hollow friends, about his life here in Rappahannock County. We know God will be there for him, and we shall miss you, John.
