A meeting will be held Tuesday, Feb. 8 at 7 p.m. to discuss the designated commercial area of U.S. 211 in the Hampton District at the Rappahannock Library. Susan Babcock, Planning Commissioner for Hampton District and committee invite you to attend and bring ideas.
Science Fair set
Students of Rappahannock County Middle School and Rappahannock County High School are busy getting their science projects ready for the Rappahannock Science Fair, which will be held on Feb. 10 and 11. The public is invited to visit the Science Fair from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 10. Awards will be presented to students on Friday afternoon.
Presentation of
village concept
The Amissville Area Community Association will host Don Audette, author of the series of Rappahannock News articles on Virginia villages. He will speak on the village concept, what a village is and how it can be defined. His talk ties into the Association’s village planning process which was initiated at their last meeting. The meeting agenda includes further discussion on the village, area enhancements and a draft budget. In addition, an initial written “Community Survey” designed to determine the issues and priorities of residents will be issued.
