John Hartline assumed the Presidency of the' Rappahannock Board of Trustees in elections held last week at the hoard’s first meeting of the year. Also elected were Charlotte Nichols as Vice President, Mary Brown as Treasurer, and Board newcomer Peter Little as Secretary. Committee chair assignments made by President Hartline included John McCarthy for Finance, Mrs. Nichols for Policy, Hallee Morgan for Personnel, and Joy Sloane for Buildings and Grounds.
Mr. Hartline initiated the post-election session by relating his management style and philosophy.
‘Though I do not intend to micro manage,” he said, T will always be available for help, consultation, and information.” He continued by suggesting that each board member become familiar with all library operations and “attend at least one session of the State Library Seminar.”
