The Rev. M.E. Sliger of Flint Hill has been elected 1950 Red Cross chairman. This membership drive will be held during the month of March. At the Board of Supervisors meeting, Mrs. Dyke Quaintance presented the plea for a county health nurse, stating the need and the good that could be done by such an officer. Dr. John Snead also spoke for this cause, saying that he knew of no other place where so much good could be furnished for as little money as would be the case if the county had a health nurse. Mrs. W.A. Miller was also present to speak for the benefits derived from having health nurse in the county. Capt. J.P. Cook made the motion that the investigation be made to see if the funds could be obtained for the county health nurse. This was seconded by W.C. Campbell.
