Jimmy Gaudreau first received broad public recognition in 1969 when he replaced John Duffy as the mandolin player and tenor vocalist for The Country Gentlemen. Since then he has played with bands including Country Store, J. D. Crowe and The New South, Spectrum, the Tony Rice Unit, and Chesapeake.

Jimmy Gaudreau, with Adrienne and Charlie’s assistance, gave me some instruction and a much more accurate understanding of bluegrass, and of his new association with Auldridge and Bennett.
