BODY AND SOUL
It has been observed since ancient times that the body is quite distinct from the soul. While one is timeless and transcendent, the other is all too vulnerable to the vagaries of time and stress. Ours is a culture that places a great deal of emphasis on feeding and conditioning the body. But, what of the soul? Should it not also be nurtured and fed? After all, it is the more lasting component of our beings. It was the Roman writer Seneca’s observation that, “The body is not a permanent dwelling, but a sort of inn (with a brief sojourn at that) which is to be left behind when one perceives that one is a burden to the host.”
Taking care of the soul during a time of loss means surrounding yourself with triends and loved ones who can support you. At the Moser Funeral Home, 233 Broadview Ave., Wanenton, we work with you to arrange services that are respectful of your wishes and reflect your values and beliefs. Call (540)347-3431 and we’re happy to lend a hand. We are the oldest business in Fauquier County.
