Alex Sharp took the mound for Rapp. Neither team could put any runs on the board in the first, but Greene would score four times in the second. Down 4-0, Rapp would battle back and would put one run on the board in the third. Greene answered right back and scored three more in the fourth. Things looked bleak for the All-Stars, they were now down 7-1. The coaching staff pulled the guys together for a pep talk in the bottom of the fourth, and Rapp bats came alive, scoring seven runs. The All-Stars defense shut down Greene the rest of the way, and Rapp won the championship 87. Alex Sharp had a triple and three RBI’s, while Jason Jenkins, Ben Willoughby and Matt Weise each contributed with a double.
This past weekend the boys would travel to Beulah Field in Alexandria to represent us in the State Tournament.
The All-Stars first opponent was Stafford from the Fredericksburg area. Jason Jenkins took the mound and pitched all six innings, striking out seven and allowing no walks. Only this would not be
