buildings, surely this is not the Paris that holds treasures like the Arc d' Triumph, the Eiffel Tower, and the Louvre.

After picking up our car and getting lost numerous times we decided that Paris was confusing, and altogether beautiful. The gardens and the quaint streets that we were lost on was the side of the city that we had expected and were glad to find. Even with this newfound beauty we decided to camp elsewhere. We made a beeline to our campground in Fountainebleu.

After a night of rest, we got up and decided to head to the nearest Chateaux, which was the Chateaux d’ Fountainebleu. This palace was remarkable. It exemplifies French Royalty perfectly. The Chateaux itself was a massive piece of art.

The size of the mansion was uncanny and the detail inside was exquisite. The 20’ marble walls towered overtop of you while priceless works of art stared down at you and at every room you saw something more beautiful than the last room. One room would have gold-woven tapestries, then the next would have hand carved wooden floors, and doors, and the next after that would have marble statues and portraits. The palace had been well worth the time and money we had spent to see it. In a word it was unbelievable.

Our trip has come far from its start in London. We are now traveling in the Swiss mountains which are amazing creations in themselves and we look forward to a day or two of skiing and also for a day to rock climb. So far we have seen many things that are so exotic we could scarcely believe . we were actually there. Now, we will continue on our escapade with an open mind and hopefully an album full of memories.
