On Saturday Aug. 5, Phillip and Lillian Terrell hosted a millennium birthday party at their home in Castleton.

This summer the Terrells are celebrating Lillian's father, James Jordan's 75th birthday, Lillian's 50th birthday and their daughter, Katie's 25th birthday.

Their guests enjoyed a wide range of activities. Volleyball, badminton, card games, charades, find the croquet ball, and zip wired into their pond.

Mr. Terrell prepared barbecued pork and his famous chicken on his smoker. Other dishes included baked beans, coleslaw, potato salad, deviled eggs, watermelon, cantaloupe, cucumber salad and of course birthday cake.

Guests included: Michael Terrell of Oakton, Kathleen Terrell, also of Oakton, James and Lou Jordan of Walnut Grove, Ga., Mr. Jordan's sister, Ruth Linthicum of Randleman, N.C., Mrs. Jordan's sister, and her husband Becky and John Lynch of Dundee, 111., Lillian's siblings and their families, Neil, Ann, Rene and Paul Jordan of Thibodeaux La., Laura, Jimmy, Julia and Caroline
