BUYERS & SELLERS

H DUAL AGENCY?

Do you really think there is such a thing? Ask any lawyer - there is no such thing. How can anyone represent two opposing sides of an issue?

Since Listing Agents have finally and reluctandy accepted Buyer Representation, they have invented another way of trying to keep the whole commission instead of splitting it with the Buyer Representative.

They call this Dual Agency. They can represent both sides of the deal with written approval from both parties.

Why would a Seller permit this? You hire someone to do a job for you, and all of a sudden you are willing to accept half the job? Your agent is also going to represent the other side?

This is really called “representing the commission”!
