Washington. Both young men participated in a baseball tournament in Cooperstown, N.Y.
After having ten months of continuous practice with the Va. Warriors, a travel team from Warrenton, it all came to reality when they played their first game last Sunday in Dreams Park. The tournament featured 49 different teams from all over the United States. The Warriors would face nine of those teams and ended up 5-4 for the week.
The teams that the Warriors played came from, Kansas City, Pennsylvania, New York, California, Delaware and New Jersey. Overall the Warriors finished 21 out of the 49 teams seeded. Both boys pitched very well for their team, played great defense and also contributed with the bat.
Jacob finished with three home runs, and Jason contributed with a grand slam.
