Student/teacher

show on display

The current exhibit at the Middle Street Gallery in Washington brings together the sfrtwork of students and their teachers from the Piedmont region.

Gathered here are many two and three-dimensional artworks by such well-known regional artist as Margot Bergman, Jeanne Drevas, Charles Flickinger, Lois Manookian, Richard Young and their students. ■ “Many great artists of the past were also great teachers. This is a rare opportunity to see the work of local artists who, in addition to being exhibiting professionals, are excellent instructors as well. Their fine teaching abilities are clearly evident in the fine work of their students. Come and compare the work of teachers and students for yourself,” said a spokesperson.

The Middle Street Gallery is located in Washington and is open Saturdays and Sundays during September from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. This exhibition is on display now through Sept. 26. Call 675-3440 for information.
