heard the bells playing about two weeks ago. They play at noon and 6 p.m. during the week and Saturday.
On Sunday they play at the beginning of church service, at the end of service, and at 6 p.m. It was a pleasure to hear them again.
The Amissville Ruritan Club is going to hold a Christmas Decorating Contest this year. The group used to have this event every year, but has not done so the past couple of years. But we are going to have one this year. All the details are not yet available, but as soon as they are they will be in this column. Sympathy is extended to Mrs. Anne McWhirt and her family, in the loss of her husband, Frank. He will be sorely missed; he was one of the best Christmas Tree farmers around.
Get well wishes are extended to Joyce Wilson, who has been down with her knee.
