does not mean you do not have a problem. Many of these diseases take days to kill birds. They may be hundreds of miles away before becoming diseased enough to die.
If you have witnessed birds with crusty eyes or even a dead bird near your feeder, disinfecting should be done immediately. If this does not solve the problem, stop feeding! Clean up the area underneath your feeder, apply a few inches of mulch to the area and move your feeder to a new place in your yard. Hopefully this will stop further spreading of the disease.
