Summertime is always a time for family reunions. If you have the opportunity to visit a family reunion, I encourage you to do so.
Folks travel near and far to enjoy the fellowship and good food with their relatives.
Much preparation and planning go into any reunion, but to be able to add a new face to the family puzzle is always worth it.
Finding your ancestors is what genealogy is all about. In five generations, a child becomes a mixture of 64 families. What makes this so complicated is the ability to connect all these families, and then remember where and how they connect.
There is an old saying “you can choose your friends, but you can’t choose your relatives.”
Those of us who are into the family genealogy have so many albums with family pictures. There is an album for each family, with names, dates when they were born, died and year they were married, as well as the number of children they had.
They are a real source of information and help us to be able to put a name with a face.
