The Bealeton branch of the Fauquier County Public Library is recruiting for a part-time Reference Librarian. The position averages 12 hours/week and includes Saturdays, every other Sunday and some evenings; some flexibility in scheduled hours. Position responsibility includes references service to both children and adults in a branch library setting, participation in collection development/maintenance and reader's advisory.
Qualified applicants must possess good communication skills, flexibility and knowledge of standard books, authors and reference sources. Internet/on-line searching skills and public library experience a plus. Requires an MLS from an ALA-accredited school. Starting salary is $14.97/hr.
