Mrs. Mitchell enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening and especially raising children. Sne was a member of Massanova Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include a sister, Berth Frances Smith of Winchester and eight nieces and nephews that she raised as children, Gene Scott, Linda Clark and John Weakley, all of Culpeper, Robert Weakley of Ft. Collins, Colo., Mary Richardson of Spotsylvania, Lillie Mae Weakley of Reva, Frankie William Weakley of Brightwood and Joe Weakley of Strasburg. Additional survivors include numerous great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband, Louie Frank Mitchell; a nephew that she raised, Wayne Scott and a brother.
Funeral services were conducted on Sunday, Aug. 19 at Found and Sons Chapel with the Rev. L.D. Savage officiating.
Interment followed in Fairview Cemetery.
