amity reunion scheduled
The Atkins and Dodson family reunion will be held on Sunday, Aug. 26 from 11 a m. to 5 p.m. at the Thwaite Shelter, 4-H Center near Front Royal. Family and friends are welcome. Those attending should bring a picnic lunch, which should be served at noon.
Super Pantry program to begin
A Super Pantry program sponsored through a partnership between Rappahannock Cooperative Extension and Blue Ridge Food Bank will be held at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church beginning Sept. 11 for seven weeks. The event will be held on Tuesdays from 4 to 6:30 p.m.
Those attending will get fun nutrition education; hands on cooking skills; planning and shopping tips; prizes; a bag of groceries each week plus a cookbook. To enroll call Jan Besecker at 675-3619.
Page Demolition Derby set
The Page County Demolition Derby will be held Friday, Aug. 24 during the Page Valley Fair. Cars may include any American made stock, hardtop automobile or station wagon. Official entry blanks are available by calling 743-4949.
